Conflict in the workplace can be bad for business and staff. It is hurtful and unconstructive both to the business, the employees and most of all the customer. A way forward to resolving conflict before it escalates out of control now exists.

Brainstorming session can be fantastic or a disaster – it can often be a forum of competitive personalities to become self obsessed with the ‘10 minutes of glory’ syndrome. Theses session are usually held over 4 hours and can be held on sight or at our spacious  brain room. We offer a range of strategy options for work places that work towards high productivity outcomes and most importantly happy staff. There are normally 2 sessions per Brainstorming plan.

Brain session one

 The first session actually creates the forum and plan for change. The mediator focuses on getting strategies and ideas from all the team members. We explore as a team how these will work, who can make it work best and how it will improve the current system. We then create the direction together, draft the plan and all sign off on it.

Brain session two

 The second session focuses on the plan, its operation, issues and working ability. We then focus on raising issues in a forum is able to be reviewed. We create the plan for conflict resolution, challenge behaviour that is not appropriate and train the team to be effective conflict avoiders through reframing and reflective thought. Once we have some strategies and agreements the focus becomes how your staff will play their role. It’s fun, empowering, objective and focused.

The neighbour dispute.................... have you ever wondered how the dispute with your neighbour got so out of control ????? There is something about the “backyard principal” that makes otherwise pleasant and kind people turn into conflict creators. I am always overwhelmed by the tree dispute, the fence replacement dispute and last but not least renovation dispute. The neighbour resolution sessions are focused on primary dispute resolution tactics together with future relationship factors in mind. Here are some facts 

Some of the most common neighbourhood disputes are about:
Fences
Trees/shrubs/plants
Noise
Lifestyle/environmental issues
Children or teenager's behaviour
Dogs and other animals
Invasion of privacy
